Another chance thread...

It's kinda late for this sort of thread, as I've already applied to (almost) everything, but here goes:

I'm a senior in a good public school in NW Florida.

International Baccalaureate, with some AP classes (hardest possible at this school)
GPA: 4.81 weighted, 4.0 weighted on 4.0 scale (4th out of 401)

AP/IB Scores so far: 5 World History, 5 Euro History, 5 US History, 5 English Language,
5 IB Computer Science, 7 IB Math SL

Courseload:
IB English, Spanish, History of Americas, Biology, Theory of Knowledge
AP Psychology, Calculus BC
Symphonic Band

Test Scores:
SAT I: 2370 (800 reading, 800 math, 770 writing)
SAT II: 800 US History, 800 Biology E, 760 Math II
ACT: 35 (34 english, 33 math, 36 science, 36 reading, 31 writing)

EC:
Band - 09-12 - section leader
Academic Team - 09-12 - captain, got individual and team awards at state tournaments
NHS - 11-12 - vice president
Mu Alpha Theta - 09-12 - president
Various other honor clubs

Service:
~60 hours spent tutoring students as part of IB Tutoring program (ongoing)
~140 hours as Red Cross volunteer in local emergency room (ongoing)

Colleges applied:
UF (can I count this as a safety?)
Emory (visited)
Wash U. in St. Louis (visited on university travel grant, interviewed)
Duke
Harvard

I'm going premed in college, perhaps with major in biology or neuro and minor in something political. What are my chances for what I've applied to so far, and can anyone recommend another college with a great premed program?

Also, I've applied to Emory's scholarship program and plan to try for one in Wash U. too. What would be my chances for those?

UF- IN
Emory- match
Wash U. in St. Louis- in
Duke- high match
Harvard- reach

i think the scholarships may be tough to get though...

I would certainly think UF is a safety for a Florida resident with your stats. I think you have very good chances at Emory and Wash U., and will likely get in both. As for Duke and Harvard, you have stats similar to many admitted students. However, both schools also reject and waitlist students like you. They are superselective. Considering that you are shooting for some very selective schools, why did you apply to so few? Have you considered applying to a couple more in that category, like a couple of other Ivies?

Your stats are probably above the 75th percentile for every school except Harvard. I think you're in for every school except Harvard, where you're a reach.

Thanks for the replies. I forgot to add that I'm a National Merit Semifinalist.

What other schools should I think of? I don't mind the location, but I'd like one with a good chance of dishing out financial aid.

Thinking of Stanford, Hopkins, maybe Cornell or Columbia.

Any of those would be a good addition to your list--or all of them.
