NHS - pres. Tutored students in different subjects since 10th - over 40 hrs.
Made a charity for Afghan children - raised over 500 dollars.
SFK - volunteered in a childrens organization and helped young children in disadvantaged areas - 60 hrs.</p>
<p>Over 11th-12th grade summer, participated in a summer research math/science program. We had individual research sponsored by professors, and we had classes in modern physics, c++ and advanced math modeling. I also conducted research in protein structure and stability with grad students.</p>
<p>Work experience: sorts bullets since 2008, - 100 hrs. fry cook since 2004 at parents' restaurant - over 1000 hrs.</p>
<p>Why I want to go to Chicago: I want to do something in the social sciences because that is the way of helping people in poverty. Chicago will allow me to do that, through learning about economic development and infrastructure. Everyone's life is really crappy, I just want to make it a little less crappier.</p>
