Michigan does not look at weighed GPAs...only unweighed. But you are in the top 10% of your class and you have a 1350 on your SAT. If they should want to wait to see your 1450, they will be satisfied. You also applied in time...not early, but not late either. So you have a good chance.

You should hear back from Michigan anytime between today and early December. But I have a feeling you will probably hear back before Thanks Giving.

Your GPA will hurt you a little, but your SAT and class rank are where they should be. I would say you are borderline. Good luck and keep us posted.

i think people here are overrating the selectivity of michigan... i mean, michigan freshmen's average Act score is 27-28 and average Sat score is about 1300. i don't get how ping is "borderline", as some in this thread suggest.

i know a guy at my school who got into Michigan... check his stats out:
applied early October, UW gpa of 3.6, 26 ACT and 1250 SAT, decent essays, ECs -- nothing special.

Leevii, I have known students with 1320 on their SAT who got into Stanford. That does not mean that a person with a 1320 on her/his SAT has a good shot at Stanford. Michigan accepts many applicants with less than 1300 on their SATs and less than 28 on their ACTs, but as a percentage, it is a very low number.

Ping has a great SAT score, so he has a good chance, but his class ranking and unweighed GPA could hurt him a little.
