Hey there, Silvari! I think that your chances for spring are excellent, seeing as how you already have a great GPA, and especially since less people apply! However, you also need to remember that there are also less spots available, too. I think you should be fine, but I did want to tell you that about the psychology department just to give you some warning. It’s also important to remember my friend still got in, she just had to go in a different major.

Your GPA at the end of fall will not matter, because they will accept you based on your GPA before fall grades come in. The only way it will matter is if you are still taking prerequisites - often, your college will have conditions of admission, and if you are taking a prerequisite, typically you have to get a B or better, or your admission will be rescinded.

I don’t know anything about that website, I’ve never heard of it, so I’m not sure how accurate all of that is. But I love Gainesville. I have lived here for the past year, attending Santa Fe, as I already told you, and I am so glad I got to live here for a year before transferring. I know the area very well, have met a ton of people from both Santa Fe and UF, and I think I’ll be a lot more comfortable when I start at UF in the fall. The campus and surrounding town are beautiful, and filled with history, and it’s a really unique area. It’s pretty southern, too - you know how they say in Florida, you have to go further north to experience the real south? Well, it’s true. It doesn’t even look like Florida, sometimes - with all of the hills and pretty trees, it looks a lot more like Georgia to me. The buildings on campus are all so pretty, and I LOVE that they get real fall in Gainesville, where leaves change and stuff. I’m from south Central Florida, so even though it’s still the same state, it still feels pretty different. I really recommend visiting the campus - it’s way different from UCF, or USF.

To the person who asked about political science: I do not know much about that major, but I know a few people who applied. 3.9 in the critical tracking sounds good, but it is definitely harder coming from a 4 year school so I really can’t give you any advice or anything.
