Another Chances thread

<p>I would like to know my chances at the following colleges. I live in Texas and I have 2.8 uw gpa/3.0 w gpa. However, I go to a hard private school and it is my grades Freshmen year that really brought it down (I had a C average Freshmen year, a B average Softmore year, and a B+/A- average my Junior year) so there is definite improvement. On the SAT I got a 680 Verbal 670 Math 670 Writing. Like I said, the school is very hard and I'm not in the top 50% of my class (At least I dont think I am). For extracurriculars I have over a dozen hours of Community Service and I am an accomplished and performing jazz musician (not just some high school band). What are my chances at the following schools:</p>

DePaul
Southwestern</p>

<p>Oberlin,American,BostonC and U,NYU are all reaches.. i dunno about all the rest</p>

<p>oh, by the way, I've been in 2 APs already and will be in 4 my senior year</p>

<p>the only thing i can see that is bringing you down is your GPA because your SAT scores are good.</p>
