I want to do the premed program but major in journalism because I enjoy writing. That would be possible right?

anybody please?

u should get in

it's possible to major in journalism and go into med school. of course NU has one of the greatest j-schools AND medical schools, so you lucked out there. you'll just have to take strong science classes and not substitute poly sci as a science, which some journalism majors do.

Will they start from scratch in the journalism program, or will I be expected to have a background in it from HS because it's something that I just recently considered majoring in and seems like something I'd be interested in (much moreso than science/math courses). Damn I hope I get in...

yea, they start from scratch. many of the people in Medill don't have much, if any, journalism experience so you won't be expected to be this amazing reporter coming into the school. it helps, but it's definitely not necessary.
