Another "Chances" Thread...

Okay... I'm a senior in high school which does not rank students. I'm pretty sure I'm in the top 20% of my class though.

My Stats:
94.789 GPA weighted
unknown unweighted

SAT: 1260 or 1890

But I just took it again and am hoping I got at least 700 in the math section.

APs Taken:
World History -4
US History - 3
Chemistry - 2...

APs Currently Taking:
Stats
Calculus AB
Psychology

I am also taking English Honors, taking Spanish V and economics. I'll also be doing senior seminar next seminar where I'll intern somewhere; I hope to intern at a bank or someplace I can learn about business.

I've been playing soccer for my HS 4 years, am in the national honor society, I'm the secretary of the Science Honor Society, treasurer of the soccer club and I'm a delegate for the Student Organization. I'm also a member of the Spanish Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society). I am the sales manager of the Event Staff of our school plays and am responsible for calculating profits, expenses and such.

I've been working as a lifeguard since last November and was recently promoted to Pool Manager.

I've been an altar boy since 1998. I now am the leader of the altar servers and serve as their mentor; I teach all new servers how to serve. I also am an assistant teacher for religious education for 1.5 hours a week.

I want to go to a good school for business... My top choices as of now include...

Binghamton
Villanova
University of Maryland, College Park
Bentley
Boston University
Boston College
Syracuse

I also am considering..
The College of New Jersey
American University
University of Scranton
Fordham University

Please tell me what you think my chances are like and be honest. Also, does anyone have other recommendations for good schools I might be able to get into?

Thanks a lot.

I got a 700 on the Math 2 and a 530.... on the US History SATIIs.

Please people? I need help!

Also, I'm white and I've been playing gaelic football for an association since I was in 8th grade. I'll be taking the ACT soon.

I doubt this will help me at all, but both my parents were born in Ireland and moved to America when they were in their twenties... My mom went to college both in Ireland and in America, but my dad only finished high school. that probably won't help me, right?

i need help! please...

it won't take much of your time...

I think you have a goood chance for those schools, but I think if you really put your all into bumping that SAT right up you could apply to a number of top ones too surely? I think yous hould consider, if you get a higher score, at least one or two big reaches.

Holy Cross-SAT optional.

thanks mercutio! Does anyone know any top colleges with great undergrad business programs i have chances at getting into?

Also, Villanova is really my top choice right now; if I got in, I think I would go. If I don't get in there, I think I'll probably go to Binghamton. What are my chances at Villanova like?

Any feedback from anyone is greatly appreciated.

Thanks all.

thanks for the post, par.

I should also mention, I live in New York and while I would be willing to travel greater distances if I were to get into a top college, I don't want to be flying across the country. I'm primarily interested in colleges located in the northeast.

with a 94.789 weighted gpa you can probably get into Harvard

you're not serious... whaaat?

in at all....

how sure are you about that? even boston college? does anyone know any other good schools good for business?

I'm nervous now because I wanted to go to the school of management at Binghamton if I didn't get into any other colleges I liked, but I now am thinking I may not even be accepted there! Apparently, the average SAT score to get in there is 1300...

oh no...i only saw the safety schools... sorry
