SAT IIs: 750 Math II 770 Chem and I will be taking Bio in november… but i dont know if they will accept it because i am doing ED. Do they? This is kind of like the question about the 3rd SAT.

State or Country: WV

Other ECs: Cross country Varsity (9th and 10th). Tennis Varsity all 4 years. A club called ACE team. Math Field Day Regionals 10th grade. And science fair county 9th.

Leadership Roles: National Honor society and Hispanic Honor society

Other things : I volunteered at two different hospitals. Each hospital I had 50 hours in it. How do i exactly prove this to the people…

General Comments: Well there you go.

Well my other question is this. Does Penn allow november SAT II’s in their ED form?

On the other ECS i want to add 24/1100 club... its not that great but >.>.

Oh and I really don't have awards unless you count like county or getting to regional math field day etc... should i even put these? They seem kind of useless...

Sigh.. sory for the quad post but my 1st cousin goes to Penn. Should I put her under the parent/grandparent/sibling section? She is not really a sibling but we talk a lot and are good friends. ALso she told me the admit rate goes up way higher for ED. She said it was like 40-50%.. i have no clue how she knows this but thats what she said. She also said that she found statistics when applying that showed how many people from each state got into penn and stuff. Does anyone have that link? thanks for answering my questions etc.

Oh yeah i actually have 2 first cousins going there. Also I know I have been asking a lot but I am soo confused... like in 8th grade I won this award (7 people win from each county) about WV history. I went to the capitol met with the governor and stuff. But it was 8th grade... should i include this?
Oh and under EC's i forgot my biggest one. I volunteered to help children learn math and english better (a tutor in other words)

2 things...Firstly, if you ED to can send SAT scores from all testing dates in November 2006 or earlier (that means your October is good). If you take them in November, you need to rush score reports to them. Additionally, did you take 2 SAT II's. They are required for UPenn

Oh.. well thats good news I guess. But I think some other colleges might require 3 :d.

Bump 10 char.

Which school in Penn are u applying to and wats ur intended major?

School of Engineering and Applied Science and probably biology or bioengineering.

Your verbal scores are terrible. No offense.

Duh thats why i plan on at least going to a 690'ish on the october sat. i can do it this time because i am studying vocab (i usually dont miss the reading questions. Just the vocab).

Good luck, but without outstanding test scores or ECs, Penn is still a big reach.

My academic stuff is what is more than the norm. for a lot of people. I think that having 2 people from my family going their currently could help.. but in WV... there is absolutely no EC's in my school. It's really sad actually. Only 2 honor societies and barely any clubs. Its more of an atheletic school. I wish I could of went to a school in Loudon county because i live so close to it >.>.

I'm not saying you didn't take advantage of your opportunities, or aren't intelligent, but when you're comparing yourself to Ivy League applicants, it's a whole new level of competition.

Like I said, it's difficult for anyone to get into an Ivy, even moreso without some amazing hook. You still have a chance, but make sure you have a backup school that you love.
