I am going to choose the "topic of your choice" option for my essay. Should I put a title at the top of it in the common app, or is there another way I should tell the ad.com. what I am writing about:confused: .

thanks in advance.

well, if you want the adcom to know what the essay is about, make sure the essay has a strong structure. titles aren't really the utmost importance, they'll know what it's about if you have a strong topic sentence, structure, and logical progression. if you use a title they might think you're making up for a confusing essay. just have an idea and stick to it :)

When I applied, I used a title simply because I always have fun making them--well not fun, but a sense of accomplishment when I come up with a good one.

It's not a big deal, but it helps that they have a vague idea of what they're getting into when they read.

Mine was nothing special though, simply: define:Ryan Salvador
