Oh I wish I would stop getting all this mail-JK
I love knowing that colleges and high school programs want to make money off of me.
Anyway I got this invitation to apply for this prestigious
Presidential Classroom Scholarship for Excellence in Academics and
Leadership
has anyone heard of this?
been on this?
had a great time or not?
thanks for future responders

I got that, too.

I put it in the trash since most of these things are tremendous rip-offs.

Your probably right-thanks for responding so quickly.
Anybody else?

yeah thats a scam

Anything that talks about you paying for your leadership skills isa total load of crap.

Yeah, I got it last year and threw it away. It's a scam.

Has anyone heard of "Who's who among american high school students"? I think it's supposed to something Teddy Roosevelt did. It's some sort of magazine/book featuring students. You don't have to pay or buy anything to be in it. However, it is an option to buy a copy of the magazine.

^^ You can fill it out, but don't pay and don't put on apps. It's a scam pretty much.

Skylarsky-it is definetly a scam only if you have nothing to do, fill out the form.

But do the Who's Who scholarships actually exist and stuff?

^^ yeah, do they?

If your biography is accepted you are sent an application for scholarships however they only really count if your parents work in certain corporations and also you need to submit an ACT or SAT score. Skylarsky I am guessing that you are a sophmore like myself so i doubt that you have done the ACT or the SAT, and did perfect on them enough to get a scholarship.
But then who knows you might be a genius!!!!!!!!!1:)

mines in the garbage :)

I submited mine.. to the trashcan.

I'm such a nerd.

I throw away any college-related mail that comes in, because I am not interested.

I throw away everything I get in the mail pertaining to so-called "scholarships". They're scams. The students at my school who make dismal grades got them, so that definitely shows they're scams. Plus, I'm a freshie who's just starting out, so what chances would I have anyway? Fastweb is the way to go, pals.

I know-I love fastweb.
The thing I got in the mail was not for a college or a random scholarship. but a free ride to a program over the summer-which deals with MUN and debating
i just wanted to clarify.
but anyway it has to be a scam to be sent to me:)
