Ok, I'm hoping we haven't screwed up too badly. I've already been registered, but when my mom was registering she was going quickly through and I'm not sure if she answered one of the questions right, and that could affect the supplements that have to be filled out. And now I can't get back in to see if she filled it out right, because once the registration is done, that's it.
When they ask if either parent owns a business, does that include a noncustodial parent? She said yes, because my dad owns his own business, but he's a noncustodial. If it only meant her or my stepdad I guess we'll have to call the financial aid office at the school and see about making changes directly with them. But for now, does anyone know that answer?

Your mother should have checked "no" on the CSS Profile because the non-custodial parent from already covers the business/farm supplement question for the noncust parent's business. I think this dilemme can be fixed by contacting the Collegeboard. When did you fill this out and submit it? If it has already been received by the school, then they can change it as well. You will probably have to submit some sort of letter or something, however, you should contact them to see what to do if they've received the Profile already. The bottom line is that it is a problem, but it can easily be corrected.

It was submitted Friday
So do we contact the schools themselves or do we contact the collegeboard?

Well, I think it would be easier to contact the school and see if they've received it. Then, if they say "no", then your next course of action will be to ask them if they think it will be better to wait until they've received it to report the mistake or to contact Collegeboard to fix it.
