Another "do i have a chance" thread

Hi there. To get straight to the point, I’ve been following colleges and have been unsure throughout my decision making process.
I’m really not here to brag or anything. I’m just really unsure about getting accepted. Or maybe my school is just really competitive. But any help would be appreciated. Thanks alot!

well in my opinion you are definitly on the right track... i had SAT scores just like yours and I got in... but i am in florida and they get a lot less apps from here than NY. so therefore it is more competitive for you. i think one helpful thing too is the fact that i got 2 letters of recc from alumni even though bc doesnt offer interviews. try to focus on comm service aspect... give it your best shot..

dont doubt yourself. you never know with colleges these days, but with that resume, id say ud have a very good shot. i probably had just about the same number of extra curriculars but my gpa and sat scores were lower and i got accepted. then again, i applied from california and i know it is more competitive from new york. but go for it, your application would be solid. the only thing if i were you is talk to ur counselor about EA or RA because ppl say it is easy one way or another. i dont know if it matters but id look into it. i applied RA and got accepted, and it was my first choice. i just never thought about EA. good luck

is this high school stuyvesant? anyways, you have a good shot at getting into Boston College, my stats were very comparable to your stats.

yeah it is haha how did you know?

i live in NYC ^^, i currently go to Cardozo High school. the words "specialized high school" can only mean stuy, bronx sci, or tech. You should be able to get into BC with ease

OH REALLY? CARDOZO? i live right around it hahaha cool. alright sounds good. I don't want to get all cocky. After all, my year is supposed to be the most competitive year. But thanks everyone for your insight!
