Hi guys, Im just wondering if it is possible for me to get a single dorm in either tercero or segundo without being put into leach (i read that those dorms are the more antisocial ones from daviswiki). Also, if i decide not to get a single. Would i be able to get a double in the newer parts of tercero or segundo? Thanks!

Yes you can, but you will most likely be in Segundo if you want a single dorm. Most in tercero are double, and triple. And yes, Leach is very antisocial lol It’s almost like they are off on their own island.

forget the newer dorms, your only sleeping in the dorms, stay in segundo it has the best social atmosphere, and creates the best opportunities to meet new people.

My son is in Tercero and he has a ton of friends. It is very social there this year. Cuarto has way bigger rooms and closets, and most of the courtyards have pools and spas. They are suite style so you don’t have to share your bathroom, but you do have to clean them yourself.

I think most the singles are in segundo, but you may be in the older or new dorms. Its really hard to get into those new ones but the older ones are great too. Very social. Leach is very anti-social from what I see because they’re dorms are way off on their own away from most of the others

go to cuarto it’s badass

are we allowed to have like mini refrigerators in the dorms? what about those microfridges, that are like a mini microwave and fridge in one small unit?

Yup, you’re allowed to bring a mini or micro fridge. Student Housing also allows you to rent a mini/micro fridge from them at the beginning of the quarter if you wish. I don’t remember how much it was, but usually students like to buy their own.
