I know people are saying to avoid North Campus like the plague, but is it really that bad? I stayed at Bursley for 10 days in the summer and it seemed ok. The buses are free and it's a very small town, so traffic isn't a problem when getting down to Central. It's so peaceful and quiet, with a lot of nature. And if you're an engineering major, won't all your classes be up on North Campus? It seems perfect. But which dorm should I try to get into?

Baits I?
Baits II?
Bursley?

If you’ve read the other thread(s), which it seems like you have, the major knock on North is that you do have to take that bus to get to the main part of campus. The situation is worst when you need to end your night early to catch the last bus back. Also, correct me if I’m wrong (as I have not spent too much time up North), but there are very few, if any, restaurants to which you can walk. Even if you’re an engineer, just take the bus up to class everyday. It’s much better to have the rest of your life happen on central. Either way, Bursley > Baits
