I’m a rising junior, and I’m trying to figure out what extracurriculars I’m going to do for the next 2 years. Essentially, my interest is in math, and since my school has a handful of math competitions and clubs, I’m involved in pretty much all of them, and I always bring passion. Here’s my question. Lets say I that I can stand out in all of my math extracurriculars (USAMO qualifier, placing at UIL state math events, etc) and that I have the ability to kill my essay by talking about my passion in the math area and get an 11/10 math teacher recommendation. At that point, how much would other extracurriculars that are non-math related help me? This is stuff like Key Club, Varsity Band, Student Council, etc, and in all of these clubs, I have had a leadership role in past years. I’m trying to determine if I should keep pursuing these secondary clubs because in my junior year, all of my time will matter.
I would appreciate it if anyone could help me on this issue.
Your answer probably will depend on where you want to go to college.
Without that little tidbit this is a bit of a SWAG but, I think you have a pretty good list there - if you need to cut back a bit to keep your grades up, that is probably the right call. Keep the stuff you like most and look for chances to lead and/or accomplish tangible things.
Good luck.

lol Thanks.
One more thing. Lets say that my goal was to get into a Ivy league school like MIT for an engineering degree. If I dropped band in my junior year and didn’t have an officer position in Student Council for next school year (but senior year I might have a position), would I want to get some more ecs to compliment all of my math accomplishments?
Without any additions, I will have been in Key club (definitely VP for junior and probably senior year) and Student Council (possible officer in senior year). Also, I will have been in band for 2 years, where I was 1st chair trombone.
It’s also notable that starting next year, I’m going to be in NHS, which I would probably see as another ec.
