Is it possible to find out the number of applicants from each state? I saw the thread that lists the number of students joining the freshman class from each state for the past few years. I would like to compare the numbers.

Nope.

Applicants, I don't think so, but I think you can find out the number of enrollees.

Here's a list of the number of EASC admitted students from each state last year. I've never seen a list of applicants...

It's a little vague on some of that stats, but I can verify one state, and it's correct. I think the source for this was the admitted student website, made available only to admitted students last year. One would simply count the tiny Y's on the blue marble to get these totals.

^ Awesome, apparently no one from Bahrain applied early last year, and I highly doubt any more did this year (excluding me that is.) Is that an advantage?

^ I think the data is for the early ADMITS, not early APPLICANTS. So someone from Bahrain may have applied last year without getting an acceptance. However, I'm sure that being from a small country is an advantage in terms of diversity.

Woah the difference between that stat for NJ and the estimation for NJ on the other thread is huge... as in a whole 19 ppl difference. :)

what's up with Texas: "quite a few" ?!?!

You know that Collegeboard has a report for each state and lists the number of score reports sent - not all of them but maybe the 25 or something. It's at the end of the state reports I think.

jaja - What do you think that means? Does that mean all of us from Texas are getting in?!

I heard that nine were accepted from San Antonio last year (EA+RD). That seems like a lot!
