Another Good 'Ole Chance Post

Hey everyone,
I've lived in Virginia my whole life, but I'm currently a freshman at a small, liberal arts college in New York City. It's a good school, and I've had an absolutely amazing time there. Unfortunately, the curriculum is very general, and I'm interested in earning a degree specifically in philosophy (something my current school doesn't offer). I'm hoping to transfer in Fall 2010. What do you think my odds are?

Here's my stats:

College
GPA: 3.88/4.0
(Being a very small school, I did not have a wide selection of courses to take)

High School
GPA: 4.0 (unweighted), 4.2 (weighted)
SAT: 700 CR, 600 M, 720 W (1300/1600, 2020/2400)
AP: U.S. History-4, English Lang.-5 (My high school didn't offer many AP courses)
4 Dual credit courses, all with 4.0 GPA in senior year
Student Body President
Top 5%
100ish hours of community service

Thanks fellas

It certainly sounds like you have some great qualities that we look for in transfer applicants. You appear to be a strong student out of high school and have continued to do well in college. We generally look for transfers to have a 3.5 GPA or higher in a good variety of courses (some math, some science, some social science, some English, etc). We admit about 50% of the transfers who apply. You certainly appear to be a transfer who we would encourage to apply.
