another "here are my stats, please help me" post

Hi!
So, stats. I’ll keep this businesslike : )

White, female, senior, at one of the top 50 public high schools in the nation.
5 APs, scores of 5s on all of them. Taking 5 more this year. (I work soo hard.)
SAT: 2210, Subject Tests: 660 Math2, 750 Chemistry
ACT: 32
GPA: 3.9 uw
Rank 8/310 (I’ve had 2 Bs.)

National Merit Semi Finalist
Book Award from Dickinson College.
Award on National French Exam.

Extracurriculars… these are more tentative.
Piano, 13 years, Violin 2 years. I’m no musical genius though.
I’ve been in a Political Activism Club, French Club, a Literature Club, and a GLBT club, but I’ve had no real leadership “positions,” persay. (WHY does EVERYONE have to be a leader, colleges? Hm?)

I have about 60 volunteer hours from a Zoo program, and I’ve had 2 summer jobs, one as an artist. I am a writer, but haven’t had any awards or anything, and I get the feeling that if you haven’t won some smarmy award or certificate in that sort of thing, it doesn’t really “count.” My essays should be good, although teacher recommendations may be less personalized, as I’m fairly quiet and unfortunately not overly memorable, IMO.
So my tentative college list:

Yale
Brown
U of Chicago
Tufts
Boston U

Williams
Amherst
Swarthmore
Dickinson
Macalester
Middlebury
Wesleyan
Carleton
Skidmore

Brown is my top choice, but it and Yale I know are both huge reaches. I’m fairly certain I’ll be applying to those top 5, though, (not sure about Tufts.) I still have to narrow down the LACs to about 4. And then there’s always a safety? The majors I’m most interested in are biology, psychology, the social sciences, and art history. Which is really vague, I know! And I don’t ski. I have no idea if I prefer city or country.

But any comments, info about these or other possible colleges, and predictions of my success would be greatly appreciated!

If you like Brown and Chicago, taking Tufts off put keeping BU makes no sense. The first three have lots of cross-applicants and are known for having nerdy but fun student bodies. BU is a massive school with no campus and while a great place for some subjects, it's also a big party school.
