Another "How well do I stack up?" thread

Hey everyone, first time posting here- I would really appreciate some feedback on how I am doing so far in highschool, because I'm worried that I effed up, to some extent.

Alright, so my ultimate goal is to go to a good university , get my majors done, and attend PA school so I can become a PA (Physician's Assistant). Preferably, I would love to get into U of I at Urbana/Champaign, but I fear that I probably will not make it, and am willing to take alternatives.

As for my academic standing, i'd say i'm doing a fair job. I am a highschool junior at Lane Tech (well-reputed selective enrollment school), have a class ranking of 366 / 1027 , My cumulative weighted GPA is ~3.85, and my cumulative unweighted GPA is ~3.35. Last semester in particular I did an outstanding job, I took three period's worth of AP classes, with a mix of Honors and regulars classes, and my semester GPA was a 4.4, the highest I have ever gotten in my entire highschool career.

As for extracurricular information and other notable things, I volunteered to work with a group oriented towards helping children with mental disabilities, helped them for a measly 40 hours. I completed two seasons of track in my sophomore year. Another notable thing is how I have developed socially, I basically entered highschool as a completely unsociable loner, but changed my character and behavior to strengthen my intercommunication skills (to a great extent) . I also become very passionate with weight lifting.

Another note, my practice ACT score registered as a 23. To improve my overall situation- Over the summer, I plan on having a private tutor hired to help me with the ACT problem, and I am looking into volunteering services at local Chicago hospitals ( trying to stay consistent with my medicine-related goals, so colleges can see that).

As for my senior year, I plan on joining the wrestling team, and am taking two more AP classes (the rest being all honors), with more science-related electives. I also forgot to mention that this year I am taking AP Bio, mentioning it for the consistency.

So, how well or how poorly am I doing? I have been lurking on these forums here and there, and feel extremely intimidated as I see so many posts from other highschoolers with stellar GPA's and lists of extracurriculars, still worrying about acceptance into great universities. I apologize for this poorly written post, I am in a hurry.

1) It really depends on what schools you’re look at. I think Urbana Champaign is a bit ‘out of your league’. To find what schools would suit you, go to the College Search and Selection section.

2) OMG YOUR USERNAME LFA REFERENCE?

write a good essay, maybe about how you changed your social skills, and really get ur ACTS or SAT’s up, and i dont see why you couldn’t get into U of Illinois
