<p>Im going to UT next semester, and am currently enrolled in the Geosciences school. I plan on taking my intro to science courses (Chem, Bio, Geology) and my math requirements next year. But unfortunantly i dont want to study geology, i want to sutdy molecular bio. How likely is it that i will be able to transfer into the Biology department after my first year of study?</p>
<p>Wow we are in complete opposite situations. I want to be in the school of geosciences but im in natural sciences right now. You a freshman or transfer student? and was was bio your first choice or was geo? You might try to do what I did and talk to addmisions. They told me to fax a letter to them(diff number) to see if I can switch to geo before I even start my first semester. I am still waiting for a response on that. Otherwise I will be going for an internal like you. Check the site and it should say something about internal transfers on it.</p>
