Like many other CCers, I've also not sure whether I should take my fourth year of a foreign language. However, at my school, my foreign language is not very popular, and their almost wasn't going to be a class next year due to lack of interest. The honors program has already been dropped, so I've been forced to take regular already.

For next year, a change was made to make the class open to this years honors sophomores, so my senior french class would be an unweighted class, with mainly juniors, even though it is French 5. Is this even worth continuing? Currently I have doubled in a social studies to replace this, not that I'm majoring in it, but because its an AP History class, which I'd imagine looks somewhat better.

So basically, is that a justifiable scenario for dropping my last year of foreign language, to schools that require 4 years? Are colleges even going to give me an opportunity to explain that? Thanks.
