Another Laundry Question...

+1 for Thacher!

My kid did laundry at school once last year. The rest of the time he put his stuff in the gym laundry bag or brought it home (only came home on scheduled breaks.) He seems to have done a very good job of rehanging all of his dress clothes after each wear and he is a pretty clean kid but I was still surprised at how little everything smelled when he brought it home at the end of the year.

Just going through this thread…so does E&R wash regular athletic clothes (the usual non-cotton material) on the gentle cycle?! We signed up for the basic laundry service. How will we know if they charge us extra? Do they send an email?

Athletic clothes-delicate cycle. Seems like an oxymoron to me. The only clothes separated out in this household (other than whites for bleaching), are cycling bibs/shorts…and that’s just for drying. If it can’t hack the normal cycle…it ain’t worn 'round here. I guess that’s why DS does so well with his laundry at school.

Oh and @skieurope, I have laundry rules, too, but they are simply…do your own. And for Pete’s sake, get your clothes out of the dryer, so someone else can use it.

E&R…gentle cycle =))

I looked up oxymoron in the dictionary, and this is what I found:

Funny @skieurope. I had ended that comment with “Now THAT’S an oxymoron for you!” but edited it out.

@ChoatieMom Just another data point to add to my hypothesis that ChoatieSgt and I were separated at birth.

This is the first time “E&R” and “gentle” appeared in the same sentence! We spent most of the summer tracking down the “last bundle.” Found in July.

Not sure about other schools but Tabor has free washers and dryers so our kids do anything requiring any special care on their own.
