<p>I want to submit my Common App right now, but my I still haven't decided who I want to write an additional recommendation for. Would it be okay if I could submit the Common Application, and then choose a recommendation later or does the "Assign Recommenders" section lock after you send the Common App?</p>

<p>Unfortunately, no. You have to complete everything, including assigning all your recommenders, before you submit. You won’t be able to make any changes or updates for your Dartmouth app after submitting to Dartmouth. </p>
<p>You are probably reading about being able to make changes. It’s true you can make changes to the app before submitting to other schools (subject to a limit of 3 submitted versions of your essay). But, once you submit to a particular school, everything you have submitted to that school is final and can’t be changed.</p>
