Another M10 Stress Induced Thread

M10 is creeping closer (and my nails suffer)… Let’s see what kinds of music our panicked minds are listening to…

Post the name (and artist) of the song you last listened to. And then give a recommendation…

P.S. If you are a book reading person do the above for books…
Name of book and author you last read and give a recommendation…

Song last listened to: Dancing on my Own by Calum Scott
Recommendation: Alaska by Maggie Rogers

Book last read: Three men in a Boat by Jerome K. Jerome
Recommendation: Joy in the Morning by PG Wodehouse

Song last listened to: Demons by Imagine Dragons
Recommendation: Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilots

Books last read: The Frontier in American History by Frederick Jackson Turner and Relativity: The Special and General Theory by Albert Einstein (I never read just one book at a time-I’m a multi-reader! :wink: )

Only 9 more days!!! :-SS

Song last listened to: If I Were Sorry by Frans
Recommendation: Mr. Brightside by The Killers

Book last read: Girl Online by Zoella
Recommendation: The Book Thief by Markus Zusak (definitely worth a read!)

Seconded wholeheartedly.

Book Last Read: Hand to Mouth, living in Bootstrap America by Linda Tirado ( Contains cursing and some mature topics. It’s a great book though.)

Book currently reading/ recommend : Atlas Shrugged ( I forget the author name).

Song last listened to: Just A Little Bit of Your Heart - Harry styles
Recommendation: Come a Little Closer - Cage the Elephant

Book last read: Eleanor - Johnny Worthen
Recommendation: The Sun is Also A Star - Nicola Yoon

@dreamer929schools
I love Cage the Elephant (Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked and Cigarette Daydream are my favorites)!

@Atria I like your choices

(Atlas Shrugged- is by Ayn Rand)

Why thank you @Center ;:wink: :smiley:

Song Last listened to: Bohemian Rhapsody by Panic! At the Disco
I usually dislike any remakes but this is quite accurate and close to the original…
Of course nothing can replace Freddie… ^:)^

Song last listened to: Green Light (Lorde’s new song!!)
Recommendation: Nine in the Afternoon, Northern Downpour (Panic! At the Disco), because these songs have a weird ability to calm my anxiety.

Book last read: Race Matters (Cornel West)
Recommendation: anything and everything Cassandra Clare.

@Atria you rock!

One of the best books I have ever read, All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr.

Seconding! Though not an easy read at first, it is honesty one of the most (hauntingly) beautiful works I have read.

Another recommendation: Just finished reading Vengeance by George Jonas (an inside view of Operation Wrath of God)… There is some mature scenarios and moral conflicts but overall a very interesting read…

Thirding!! I loved that book so much! @Center @Atria

@Atria @monica20 I love Panic! At The Disco…

Song last listened to: I believe I listened to Slippery by Migos.

Recommendation: If you are into rap, I would recommend the ENTIRE album "At.long.last.a$ap. by A$AP Rocky. Honestly, it’s not your regular rap album with tons of curse words and profanity: the beats are soothing and hypnotic. I have been listening to this album on repeat for a couple of weeks now.

Book last read: A Brief History of the Cold War by Elizabeth Spalding and Lee Edwards!

Recommendation: The Grand Design by Stephen Hawking - really makes you think about life, existence itself: it will take you to some pretty deep places. A great distraction!

Song last listened to: Hallucinating by Future.

Recommendation: Dear God by Logic – favorite song of all time, probably.

Book last read: Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe (brother made me read it in the 5th grade, didn’t appreciate it as much as I do now)

Recommendation: A Thousand Splendid Sons by Khaled Hosseini – this book changed my life.

@htarantino Ahha I love Future!

How do you feel about his new albums??I like some of the songs, not all… I read Things Fall Apart last year in Global Studies and loved it.
