another math II question-matrixes

2x+3y-z=12
x-3y+2z=-5
x+z=3
What is the determinant of the coefficient matrix of the system of equations shown above?
the answer is -24, i think they're wrong. i got -6 as the coefficient.
PR (2003-2004)pg 256, #46
and finally!!!!this is my last question on my last page! im done studying for 1 week. now its time to take the practice tests.

[A]= [ 2 3 -1
1 -3 2
1 0 1 ] if that’s what the matrix is then the determinant is -6

Honestly, for this question, a calculator is your friend (at least for those of us who don’t remember matrices).

2nd Matrix
EDIT [A]
3x3
Type in the coefficients
2nd Matrix
MATH
det([A])

BAM! -6 is your answer. Despite the many steps, it took me all of 30 seconds to do that.

any matrix that appears just bust out your calculator
don’t even waste your time or risk making a mistake.
(I know you got this one right, but im just giving future advice)
i am actually strongly against using your calculator for many problems but for matrices i would bust it out right away
