Another meal plan question

I found this on the Brandeis Website:

<<Both Usdan locations feature “a la carte” service. You pay for what is on your tray. The meal equivalencies are as follows:

* Breakfast - $3.90

 • Lunch - $6.00
 • Dinner - $7.65
 • Stein Dinner - $3.00 >>

Am I correct in assuming that if you buy the 21 meal plan, you can:

1) get 21 meals per week in Sherman. OR

2) if you choose to go to Usdan, you can spend the dollar amounts given above for each meal and have one meal deducted from your card.

3) If some meals remain unused at the end of the semester, you could still spend the cash equivalents in Spring semester.

4) You get 5 guest meals, but you cannot choose to spend addtional meals on a guest.

Thanks for any enlightenment.

1 & 2 are basically right. there's one important thing to keep in mind: you are given only one meal per meal period. that is if you don't have breakfast on Sat or if you skip lunch on Wed, that meal disappears forever. Other plans have rollover, but not the 21 or the 14.
Therefore, 3 is incorrect.
4 is right.

sulsk, you can choose which residence hall to live in?

not really. but, if you put it in writing, they may be able to accommodate you.

More questions (sorry!).

If I choose the 14 meal plan, I can take an average of 2 meals a day, it could be breakfast or dinner one day, and say, lunch and dinner another?

Which residence halls are the best (doubles)? Is there still time for me request the Office of Res. Life to put me up in a hall of my choice?

question 1 is correct -- you just can't eat two meals in the same meal period. for example, if you have an early dinner at 5 and feel hungry again at 11:30PM, you can't redeem a meal for the 11:30 food run.

Scheffres and Gordon have both been recently renovated and are much nicer than the rest -- it may be worth a shot to write "I want to be in Scheffres or Gordon"

Sulsk, if it's not too much to ask, do you have any sites where pictures of Gordon or Scheffe are shown like the lofted apartments?

http://www.brandeis.edu/studentlife/reslife/firstyear/lofttriples.pdf

that shows a lofted bed as well as a desk under a bed in scheffres hall -- which is how the furniture is arranged in lofted triples.
