another my chances thread (get a good laugh)

Just a little nervous about my chances becaue of my GPA. I applied to some pretty elite schools and was wondering if i am out of my league. Here are my stats:
4.0 UC GPA, but got straight A's this semester with 5 AP classes so it goes up to 4.2
In ELC (top 4% of HS)
SAT I 1450(710 V, 740 M)
SAT II 660 Writing, 740 Math IIC, 790 US HIST
Really Good Rec and strong Essays
over 300 hours comm service: 200 at hospital, 100+ at elementary school
President/Founder of two political clubs @ school (JSA and Freedom's Answer)
Member of CSF, NHS, Rotary Interact
Played Varsity Baseball
Attended 2 summer programs; one in Chicago [FTE] and one in Sacramento JSA

Is that strong enough for these 9 schools:
UC Davis
UC San Diego
UCLA
UC Berkeley
Notre Dame
NYU
Penn
Duke
Columbia

be honest

You should get into all UCs. We'd have to know more about recs and ECs dor private, but you should be good for all but the ivies and Duke. For those your SAT is below average so the recs and essays are everything. Good luck. Have you talked basketball coaches at your schools?

At all those schools except maybe Columbia to play basketball you would have to be close to being a McDonald's all-American.

For EC's I was a volunteer at the hospital as a reception desk volunteer, i was also a member of a program called VISTA CORPS Reading volunteer which meant i tutored kids in an attempt to combat illiteracy. My other hours were slim volunteering with cancer children through rotary club at the local hospital. My rec was from my AP History teacher and he really did a good job, mostly becasuse i got a 5 on that test, and my essays were about my experiences during my summer programs in Chicago and Sac. and how those programs really sparked my interest in Economics and politics, and how i used that enthusiasm to set up two political clubs at school.

An are you sure about ND

yeah i never played basketball it was baseball and i'm not the greatest at baseball
