<p>Well a tradition in the making:</p>

<p>As 2013 begins, The University of Alabama begins a new tradition: the playing of the alma mater each day at noon. At the suggestion of a student, the Denny Chimes will ring out the tune that was written in 1908 by Helen Vickers. The familiar tune is dear to many UA students and alumni.</p>
