<p>You will not be sorry at all later for going with the t43. As everyone says, IBM has the best support and the best quality, no doubt about it. You might pick the hp for value, but later on if you have some serious issues with it.....</p>

<p>and you can get Office for cheap from your school bookstore.</p>

<p>T43 is definitely worthwhile. I think it's the most functional notebook PC out there.</p>

<p>I go the zd8000, and love it--but I'm planning on keeping it on my desk most of the time. I basically needed the power of a desktop, but I wanted to take it home over breaks and stuff.</p>
