another one bites the dust

Ha, and I refer to Chris Matthews as Mr Interrupter. In my mind, though, that’s anyone else with a thought.

There are studies on how we women make ourselves interruptible, our word choices and etc. Interesting. But I believe it’s considered “learned.” And frankly, so may be this male behavior.

Yes, but like Bill O’Reilly Chris Matthews interrupts everyone – male or female. No one gets a word in edgewise with either of those guys.

This article on Page Six tells of how competitive and jealous Matt Lauer was making sure there would be nobody to replace him.

Not a fan of Page Six, but I can’t stand Megan Kelly at all, something about her voice and her deliver y just grates on my nerves and will cause me to switch channels in a heartbeat if I"m home and it is on in the background. So interesting she’s not been successful for NBC in that capacity when she came from Fox. My H mentioned the Friday after Thanksgiving when the TV was on that he couldn’t stand her delivery either so no, she won’t be replacing Matt I don’t think unless they want to tank their ratings entirely. I liked Bryant Gumble the best over the decades…then Jane Pauley, Matt Lauer, Katie Couric, Hoda Kotb in order of favorites… I liked David Gregory alot - but don’t know where he is anymore and I like Lester Holt’s voice and delivery. I was not a Meredith Viera fan and not an Ann Curry fan so not voting for either of them in the court of public opinion. Right now if put up for public vote - I’d say Hoda or David Gregory. I will miss Matt Lauer’s interviews with Lyndsay Vonn - my H and I decided long ago that he had the major hots for her and she was on quite a few times for sure.

@TomSrOfBoston I can’t watch that show. Mika is too much of a doormat.

If ML had ever made an effort to work with Ann Curry, a woman who was not interested in being an ego stroking get along girl, he might not be in such a bad predicament today.

@momofthreeboys Google David Gregory https://www.washingtonian.com/2014/12/21/how-david-gregory-lost-his-job/… That is not going to happen! I really liked him too and wondered what happened to him and did some sleuthing last year.

Willie Geist would be nice.

Willie Geist gets my vote too. I like him a lot. He seems like the anti-ML.

Not that familiar with Willie Geist but I love his father!

I’d be happy if they kept Hoda. Her smile and spunk is what I need these days.

I could live with either Hoda or Willie, but definitely not Megyn.

Megyn? Nooooooo!!!

@tomofboston You spelt her name wrong. MeAgain.

I like Hoda as well – she’s genuine. But why has everyone soured on Megyn Kelly? While I don’t agree with all of her politics, I think she handles herself very professionally and has a pretty thick skin. DJT really went after her after that debate and she rose above his public ridicule. I don’t think the format or subject matter of her new show works for her. She was much better in the political realm.

Good question. I’ve been trying to figure out why I don’t like her.

Not a Megyn Kelly fan and it has nothing to do with her politics.

Today brought in a guy a couple of years ago from GMA, what was his name? I really liked him but the rumor was that Matt Lauer got him replaced. Now it’s going to bug me. Edited to say it was Josh Elliott, should have read the page six article first.

They could bring back Katie Couric, she has a podcast but is not on a network. But I do think the today show needs a male host, although I do like Hoda.

Why does the Today Show need a male host? Enlighten me please.

My thought too, FlyMeToTheMoon. We have many many many many shows hosted by men only. What’s wrong with competent women hosting?

I loved Josh Elliott and was surprised when he left.

Did some Googling …

Hey, it’s just my opinion. I watch GMA myself, have for years. First, because I liked Robin Roberts and Diane Sawyer. But I like GMA because there are different viewpoints and I like that there are women and men on that show.

Personally, I like Chuck Todd on Meet the Press.
