Work Experience:

Chick Fil A (10,11)

My essays should be pretty good. It kind of depends on the person who read it. My counselor hates how I write, but my History, English, and Latin (who grades SAT essays and has taught English) all love it.
My teacher recommendation should be amazing. Its from my Latin teacher, who I've had for 3 years and her recs are always amazing anyway.
My counselor rec might not be as good, because counselor/student relations are kind of lacking at my school.

I said sort of a chances thread, because I know from lurking around for so long, that nobody can really say what ND will like or dislike on any given day.
Really, I wanted to know whether I should apply EA (once I get my SAT scores up a bit) and whether or not there was anything I needed to work on the first semester of my senior year to apply.

Just bumping this back up.

you are a tough call, mainly because it is hard to tell how selective ND will be after last year being so crazy! Right now I am split between ND being a reach/match, but in the past I would have said match...I just am uber-cautious right now.

As for EA, it depends on how much you get your scores up, but right now I would stick with RD.

I agree work on the rank and the scores but you certainly have a shot

If you can get your math up 50 pts you should be good to go. Just make sure you don't drop in rank!

Thanks for all your replies.
I'm taking an SAT math course in September to help with the Oct SAT, so I'm hoping that will bring up my math score.

If anything, my rank and gpa will go up. They're only as low as they are, because my freshman year I took Pre-AP Geometry and got c's and b's, because the teacher and I clashed, so I wouldn't work, and I got straight B-'s in Pre-AP Biology, because I was lazy and wouldn't do the work.
Since freshmen year, my GPA and rank have gone up every semester.

I'll probably go RD, but I was just thinking about EA, because I really don't want to wait till May. I suppose I'll have to, though.
Anyway, thanks again for the responses.
