Yes, a “What are my chances?” thread.

Okay so I’m Heather, and my dad is in the Air Force and we’re living over in Germany (I won’t be an international student) on an airbase right now. So I did my first 2 yrs of high school in California and my last 2 are over here. The military thing is where I’m a bit confused and in a grey area. My whole family is from California, I was born in Californa. After I was born, we moved to Arizona, then lived in Alaska for almost 5 years, moved to Nebraska for 3 years, moved to Monterey for 9 months so my dad could take a refresher Russian course, moved back to Beale AFB in northern California for 3 years, and now we’re over here in Germany…So I was wondering how flexible the UC system is about residency. Like what are their requirements for establishing residency?

But now onto the stats:
Intended Major-- Bioengineering
UC GPA-- 3.85
SAT I-- Math: 740, Reading: 600, Writing: 560 :-/ (I’m taking it again in October)
ACT-- Comp: 30, English: 27, Math: 29, Reading: 34, Science: 28 (Forgot my calculator the 1st time around. Retaking in October)
SAT II-- Taking either MathIC or IIC, Chemistry, and Literature in November…
APs-- US Hist (3), English Lang (4)

ECs–
Drama (freshman and jr. years, my CA school dropped the drama dept my freshman year. Plan on continuing as a Sr.)
NHS
Student Gov- Class Secretary-Treasurer (10th), Associated Student Body rep (10th), Active Junior Class Club member (11th), Prom Committee (11th)
Guys’ Varsity soccer manager (11th and continuing)
German Club (11th and continuing)

Schedule for this year:
AP Physics C, US Gov(1 sem)/Psych(1 sem), AP Calc AB, AP Stats, German 2, AP English Lit, Career Practicum (probably at the hospital)

What I’m probably lacking the most is ECs, mainly because my school in CA was in a very small town and offered absolutely nothing besides sports (and drama for 1 year). However, I’ve been consistent with what I’ve had and added a couple things on this year when I moved over here.

I also know that I will be bringing my SAT score up at least a bit. I now know what to expect for the writing section and I’ve been studying over the summer. So I’m hoping to possibly hit 2000. And I’ll definitely be getting higher on the ACT, seeing as how I’d forgotten my calculator the last time I took it.
