My head hurts…
Does anyone pay any attention to Twitter or Instagram? Reminds me of when I was in college and some guys started a “rent a picket” service. For money, they’d picket anywhere.
That “rent a picket” story reminds me of the first time I visited a college campus. I was a sophomore in high school, and we were taking my older cousin to Gainesville for freshman move in day.
My first three impressions as we drove into Gainesville toward the campus…
^the other 29 went to bathroom and the lone protester was protecting their signs.
The moccasin story is stupid. That doesn’t mean, however, that it can never be inappropriate to wear significant regalia of some religion or group as a decoration. It can be done out of unawareness–like when Destiny’s Child wore Boy Scout uniforms, and BSA pointed out that those items were just for members, and they apologized.
There are a gazillion commercially available moccasins. But there certainly are Native American headdresses and other items that have sacred meaning. Gee whiz, once again, we have to draw lines!
