Another Question About Common App

So, I was sort of in a rush last night, sending in all the apps because I wanted to get them done ASAP. I accidentally checked off/signed a portion on Stanford that was only for EA applicants. I don't know whether I should be freaking out or not...

Since the EA deadline was over a month ago, I think those geniuses at Stanford will realize that you did it by accident.

However, you could also email them (I hear the admissions office responds to emails fairly quickly)

Yeah, I just don't want them to think that I didn't really care much about the application and sorta "half-assed" because I definitely put 1000000% into those three essays and SA's---I really hope they don't get a false impression.

I'd say contact them, through e-mail or phone. It's not like they'll automatically reject you, thinking you don't know your deadlines.

Really? What would I say? I don't want to say I was rushed... so should I say I made a silly mistake, and accidentally filled out the EA section? Thanks for the quick responses guys/gals...

bump.........

chillllllll,
i dont think its that big of a deal.

I had a friend who told me she spelled her name wrong on the signature part of the Common App... and didn't notice it in the print preview until after she submitted it to Yale AND Harvard... so don't feel bad: people have done much dumber things

I think you should definitely email them just to show them you care

edit: I'm pretty sure my friend emailed them about her mistake, but I don't know if they responded.

Ok great. Yeah I think it would be a good idea to email them just in case--because Stanford is definitely my number 1 at this point.
