Another question--did RPI find you or did you find them?

<p>The irony in all this is that she doesn't want to go to RPI. How can you pass up a $60,000 scholarship???? We are not making a big deal out of it yet until all her acceptances/rejections come in. We have a few more weeks of peace and harmony in our house until decisions have to be made. Hopefully the weather will get nicer, that might help everyone's mood. :)</p>

<p>She might get excellent financial aid wherever she wants to go. I think the Medal is a brilliant idea b/c it does make the kids (well, the parents) sit up and take notice, long before we start thinking about financial aid in any serious way. </p>

<p>But my friend's DD ended up getting substantially more than $15,000 per year financial aid at her second-choice school. My friend (the mother) said that was the reward for all of the girl's hard work: when it came down to finances, the school proved they really wanted her by saying it with money.</p>
