Hey all,
I recently got into Brown as a transfer. I know these questions seem to come up a lot on here, but I’ve got to ask anyways. :p

What if my GPA this semester looks like this: A, B, C, A, or A, A, C, A?
Would getting a C in a class put my admission to Brown in jeopardy?

Yeah, I know, nobody really knows how bad one has to do to get their admission retracted and I don’t expect any new answers to this question (I’ve read several threads about the same question), but I’ve got to ask anyways; I think you guys understand how worried I’ve been.

A “C” won’t get you rescinded. If I’m not mistaken, isn’t the lowest grade Brown will accept for transfer credit a “C” anyway? I think you’re fine.

Well I called the Admissions Office. Basically the message I got was that a C would probably lead them to ask me to state why I got it, but probably not going to get the admission rescinded.

In the words of the officer I spoke to “we have a hard time pulling the plug on people”. Even though he indicated I didn’t need to worry, I am still, of course, worried. :E
I am wondering whether to send in an explanation with my final transcript or wait until they ask. Not sure if I should call them again just to ask this question though.

They just responded to an email I sent before I started this thread. They said that admissions won’t be rescinded unless one fails a course. Thought I’d let everyone know, as I know there are always questions about rescission on this forum.
