I don’t understand that second one. The hoax letters led to white supremacist robocalls?

It says that the notes prompted the robocalls, but does not give any more detail on that.
In other words, one probably-non-hoax note, four hoax copycat notes, and probably hundreds or more racist robocalls. Looks very likely that the vast majority of racist instances targeting Drake University people are real.

That was one big leap.
We really can’t say anything definitive about the first note. Other than the notes prompting a white supremacist group to target robocalls to Drake landlines (about 250 calls), there hasn’t been any other “racial” incidents at Drake (that I’m aware of…).

250 or 251 real compared to 4 or 5 hoax is the vast majority.
