Another Ranking

This one is based on taking the average of the USNews recruiter assessment and peer assessment scores (ties decided by starting pay):

Recruiter Assesment Peer Assesment

Harvard 4.5 4.8
Stanford 4.5 4.8
Wharton 4.3 4.8
MIT 4.3 4.8
Chicago 4.3 4.7
Kellogg 4.3 4.7
Haas 4.0 4.6
Columbia 4.1 4.5
Duke 4.0 4.4
Tuck 4.1 4.3
Yale 4.0 4.3

sorry the formatting got messy there, but you get the idea

what is peer assessment?

Just “reputation.”

“Peer Assessment Score (.25) In the fall of 2008, business school deans and directors of accredited master’s programs in business were asked to rate programs on a scale from “marginal” (1) to “outstanding” (5). Those individuals who did not know enough about a school to evaluate it fairly were asked to mark “don’t know.” A school’s score is the average of all the respondents who rated it. Responses of “don’t know” counted neither for nor against a school. About 46 percent of those surveyed responded.”

As I said: “Reputation.” :)

So, reputation amongst the academic people.

HBS and Stanford are practically neck and neck.
Wharton is consistent as the #3 best.
Kellogg, Sloan and chicago are all in the smae tier, just below the Big 3.
Haas is superior to Columbia an Tuck.

there’s so much pimping of Yale SOM on this forum.

actually sloan is a notch above chicago/kellogg and tied with wharton according to this, why wouldnt yale be on there?
