Another rather eccentric question about Dartmouth...

I have another... (sigh...) random question about Dartmouth College.

How are the dining options at Dartmouth? Are their any pleasant restaurants in the Hanover area that a student can grab a nice lunch at? Students, would you rate it as scrumptious, or so terrible that you'd rather have top ramen?

Sorry about the odd questions, but be glad I'm not begging you to chance me. ;)

Have a pleasant day, and thank you for your answers!

A visit to Hanover or to Google would answer your question:

[Restaurants Hanover NH New Hampshire + Fine Dining - City Guide](<a href=“Local City Guide, Relocation and Travel, Restaurants, Shopping, Events - Discover Our Town”>Restaurants Hanover NH New Hampshire + Fine Dining - City Guide)

The food in general is pretty good for college food. The options are pretty varied on campus (6 or so dining locations I think) and they all serve different things. I’m a big fan of our pasta and stirfry, but there’s all your typical college food as well. As far as restaurants in Hanover, there are some, but you only really need to eat out when you want a break from DDS and to spend “real” money.

Definitely try to come down and taste it if possible. One (but certainly not the only reason) I knocked off one of my top schools off my list (cough, cough Swarthmore) was becausee I could not imagine eating the food for a week in a row and certainly not a week.

The food here is pretty good and you have good variety. You’ll get tired of it (like anything) but with so many options you’re never really be that bad off. (Chicken tender queso at the hop… you’ll never go wrong)

I’d say the Hop is consistently decent and you just have to check the menu for the other places to see if they’d have anything you’d like. I don’t really like homeplate’s specials too much but every once in a while I like what they’ve got(bbq glazed salmon and cornbread for one).
