i'm a freshman too, but i'm just saying i think that's a LOT for first semester. i think i'll be taking 15 or 16 and i'm still a little sketchy about that

It shouldn't be that bad. College Writing is 6 units, so unit-wise, it seems like it's a lot, but I think it's do-able. After all, it's 4 classes and Psy 2 seems like an easy class. I am taking it in Fall as well.

What if I change my psychology to Lingustic 55AC (4 units)? Is it still an okay schedule? (considering that the college writing is actually 6 units)

I am not sure about that, because I am a freshman as well. But from what I have heard, all the English classes at Cal are a pain. Unless you are really good at English, Linguistics 55AC might not be a good idea.

By the way, the units doesn't matter. As long as you don't break 20 (you need to petition if you break 20 units per semester, but still isn't a problem). It's just that the 6 units adds up and makes it seem as if you are taking more classes than you really are.
