Sad beyond words. I study and work as a TA and teach undergrads. To shatter the peace of their student years is a horrible, horrible crime. My heart goes out to the 2 victims and any other effected people.

2 families destroyed. Some mother sent her son or daughter to study in the Fall, only to get a coffin back before the Xmas break. That's just not right.

The second person was the shooter, so I’m not sure if that makes it better or worse for the family (is there really a better or worse in situations like this) but is certainly better for the community at large.

Especially seeing as how the two involved in this case were a policeman and the shooter. The shooter did not harm a student in a classroom.

Also, schools have done a lot more to have safety precautions. If anything, they said that this shooting just proved that security measures have been stepped up.

But alas, my prayers and thoughts are with both families. What a horrible thing to go through on both sides of the equation.
