I'm currently doing mechanical engineering as a freshman in college but have been thinking lately, and don't know if it's right for me. I am going to take some finance/ accounting classes over the summer to see what it's like. I've always been a math/ science guy, but have never really liked applying them. For example, we are working on programming right now. i know i'm no good at programming, but i do understand it. When given a problem, i hardly ever know where to start. I think it has to do with my problem solving skills, and don't know if i could see myself solving problems as a career. I can usually end up solving problems, but not after thinking about it for alot longer than it should (people in my class are usually done by the time i'm starting to understand a problem when given in class exercises) and after working with friends bouncing ideas off each other. Calc 2 is killing me, and i had to take Cal 1 twice (once in highschool, again 1st semester), and will probably end up having to take cal 2 again as well. My current GPA is pretty low (2.6 first semester because of one D and all B's, and I'm sitting at low B's/high C's in most of my current classes)
