Another thread about our Prez.

ok, so i was watching NBC tonight, and, Pres. Bush, in an attempt to defend himself against accusations that he was losing his political clout, responded to an Amnesty International report, claiming that they choose "to disassemble...that means to not tell the truth"

I'm so glad the Pres. of the United States, the most powerful man in the world, an Ivy League graduate (no offense alumni/students of Ivies...I'm a Fighting Quaker '09!!:)) is capable of giving the American people a vocabulary lesson--even if he's teaching us the wrong thing!!! :p

lol LAgal. :]! you do have a point!

I think he meant/said "dissemble."

i'm pretty sure that's what he meant--or, at least, i hope that's what he meant...

but that's NOT what he said or defined

President Bush has made a lot of grammatical errors or slips. I heard that he once said during a speech that "Most of our imports come from outside the country." ....really? I never would have guessed...

LOL, dancer :D

OMG our president messed up something in his speech!!!??? I can't believe he's the president! What the ****!?

When you make fun of someone for being dislexic or having some other speaking problem, it's cruel and insensitive, but suddenly when it's the President you're talking about, this kind of thing has risen to the level of insightful political comentary. Did you kids not get you juice box before nap time today? Grow the **** up.

mediocretes, life isn't always easy, especially for teenagers these days...
it's nice that we aren't so uptight that we can enjoy a good laugh from careless mistakes...yes, we shouldn't be laughing at someone else's, but it's a mistake anyone could have made, and it was funny...not to mention there's nothing wrong in pointing it out for a laugh, to show the president's unnecessary complacency toward his own vocabulary, or for whatever other reason
