Hi. I'm really looking for some quick input and, if you have the time, I would super super appreciate it if you gave me some feedback.

I'm going to be a rising senior... and I'll be applying to Princeton SCEA. So that means I'll only have October to retake and use score choice before I send out my stuff to Princeton.

My superscored SAT is a 2300, (730 CR, 800 M, 770 W, 12 E) and my ACT is a 34 (33 E, 35 M, 33 R, 33 S).

Now, as far as subject tests go, I'm really not sure what to do. I took Math II and only scored a 720, and later retook it and only scored a 700, which is bizarre because I scored a 80 on the Math PSAT, an 800 on the Math SAT, a 35 (made 1 stupid error) on the Math ACT, and I've been in advanced math since I was like in elementary school and also scored a 5 on AP Calc BC. So I don't think I want to take it a third time because I don't think I will do better...

I scored a 750 on Spanish (I am not a native speaker) and a 770 on Chemistry, however. Are these scores competitive enough for Princeton, or should I retake them or take other SAT IIs?

I'll also have 7 AP scores to report on my application (including Calc BC, Spanish Lang, Chemistry, and English Lang) and I'm pretty sure I got a 5 on at least six of them (and a 4/5 on the seventh.)

I'm not trying to be pedantic or obnoxious; I'm merely looking for input. Thank you very much for your time!

Agreed. You did great and have shown you’re definitely capable. Now is the time to really market yourself – not to study for another subject test.

In you case: Your test scores won’t get you in, your test scores won’t keep you out. Congrats on doing well. Good luck

Does Princeton need 3 sat subject tests? I’m not sure. But I remember only applying to colleges which required 2 subject tests because I only had 2 good scores (most colleges only want 2 or less).

I had very high math scores- just like you- but couldn’t do well on the SAT 2 for math either. I’d just recommend giving up on that math test. When you send your scores, most likely your college will be able to see ALL the times you’ve attempted that SAT 2, so just stick with your 720 and you should be good if you really need to use that math SAT 2.

Also, you indicated that you were very interested in Princeton, not meaning to be rude, there are a lot of other good colleges out there. When I started researching Princeton, it seemed fairly unpleasant to me (the school).

I think if all of the other aspects of your application are on par, you should be fine. Your test scores put you on par with any Ivy league school.
