Another unnecessary alcohol related death. Please discuss with your D.C.

I post this not to disparage Miami U but to make sure all our college bound children know how easily this can happen anywhere and how dangerous it is.

From Cincinnati.com:
A night of drinking ends in death at Miami U.
Erica Buschick, a freshman at Miami University, died in her dorm room after a night of binge drinking, the Butler County coroner’s office said.

OMG. Every parents worse nightmare. My thoughts and prayers go out to the poor families.

So sad. Apparently the taxi driver even saw her to her room and left her in what he thought was a safe situation?

I still believe that Canada does it better with drinking age at 18 or 19.

I couldn’t get very far in the article because popups started threatening to crash my computer. But got far enough to read that the bottle of vodka was from her parents. Was there some good explanation for this later in the article?(!!)

@Cheeringsection Completely off-topic, but I couldn’t help but notice your profile picture. Is that a pic from the Chapel of the Resurrection at Valpo? Looks familiar! :slight_smile:

@Zekesima - ad blockers are awesome :slight_smile:

It was unclear to me what was from her parents, the vodka or the water bottle, or how they knew this? No other article mentions her parents and vodka at all.
