Hola. So I was wait-listed to Stanford. I assume there is like 0 chance anyone will get off of it this year since 0 people have gotten off it in the last two years. Did stanford accept less students this year so they wouldn't go over their limit, meaning there is a greater chance they'll go to the waitlist? Also, any tips besides the standard stuff like giving them updates? so close.. :P

For Stanford class of 2016: 2,423/36,632 were admitted 0 were taken off waitlist
…2017: 2,208/38,828 were admitted 0 were taken off waitlist…215 fewer admitted
…2018: 2,138/42,167 were admitted ? were taken off waitlist…70 fewer admitted

Because they are expecting a very high yield this year…I highly doubt they will take any off the waitlist again. Many were expecting that Stanford would admit somewhere between 2075-2100 and have an acceptance rate below 5% this year…but, the admissions dept. did not do this…

…and because of this…they may be over-enrolled this year like they were 2 years ago…and high probability there will be zero (0) coming off the waitlist again. If they had admitted something closer to 2075…a few of the waitlisted students would have a better fighting chance of coming off…sorry.
