I got placed on the waitlist for A&M, but I'm currently trying to decide if it's worth the wait until mid-June to see if I got admitted, or if I should set my sights on another school instead. A little bit of background info: I've got a 3.3 GPA, 4th decile in my class, and an SAT score of 1910. What are my odds of making it on the waitlist? My biggest issue is, I don't want to decide on my second option (UT CAP program) and then find out I got admitted to A&M, but I don't want to wait too long so that I miss the deadline for housing & other necessary things for UT, only to be rejected by A&M. What are my odds, and what do you advise?

You can always put down your housing deposit for UTSA or UTD, and always revoke it if you get accepted into A&M.

Btw, you got waitlisted with those scores? I mean I would understand if you had disciplinary problems, but the academic admit is top 25% of class, and SAT score of 1300…

Ditto Maka. I’m surprised you even got waitlisted. That’s a killer SAT score. That’s making me worry too. I’m applying this fall…
