My son is an applicant, and I do feel for all of you who have had to spend months waiting. It really doesn’t make SDSU look very good to have to take this long to let California resident students know their fate. Maybe decisions will be available next week? Hopefully, these will be released to students before the admit weekend/open house. Hang in there and good luck!
I certainly hope so. I would have loved to attend the open house with my daughter on the 17th, but didn’t want to book flights until we knew if she’d been accepted. I wonder if they’ll even have acceptances out before then. At this rate, I’m not so sure!
It sure seems like a lot of the cal states are way behind. My son applied to 4 and has only heard from one. That along with 3 UC (one of which is also behind). What is it with the California schools this year. They certainly were not this bad 3 yrs ago when my daughter was going through this.
My DD applied to several CSUs…still waiting to hear from SDSU and Sac State. This waiting game is frustrating.
My D is in the same boat. I think the new CSU app has complicated things for some of the CSUs. The only upside I can think of is that there will be only a week between the release dates of the remaining CSUs (probably this coming week) and the release dates of the UCs (approx March 15). Easier to line up the pros and cons of all and make our decisions!
My D got acceptances from CSULB (2/15) and CSUCI (2/7). We’re being a little more patient with SDSU but expect to hear well before the 3/17 open house.
CSULB and Sonoma have both given their acceptances, but SDSU may wind up being our top choice. The open house is coming quickly and we would need to make travel plans. Best of luck!
Did any of you hear in time for the Open House today? My daughter still has not heard. She is waitlisted at SLO and was denied at UCSD. We have friends here that heard months ago. Northern CA, Enviro Sciences Major, SAT EI of 4380.
@redwoodcity My son did not hear. Checked the portal–still pending since November. It has been frustrating, but it has given us time to reassess. He got in at USF with a nice merit package. We have already visited SDSU and just went to USF this week. USF was supposed to be a safety (like Oregon) However, my son seemed to be having an “ah-ha” moment when he saw the difference between USF and SDSU–class size being a very big difference. What are your other acceptances so far? Is SDSU her first choice?
She has been accepted into UofO and University of Boulder, waitlisted at CalPoly. Still waiting to hear from UCSB among others. Congrats on USF- our neighbor went there and was very happy.
THEY SEEM TO BE ROLLING OUT NOW!
still haven’t heard.
