I am 16, i am from colorado, and i live on a family farm and i am a "hard working farmboy." No i am not a hick, am not overly conservative, and do not fit the backward country sterotype. I am here to ask for advice on what colleges would suit my interests, and your opinions as to what my chances of acceptance into these colleges and schloarships are. I am assuming that many of you have completed the college process and am interested in usefull advice. Most of the information i have found is general, have good EC's, SAT's, etc. I am not hear to boast, i am just here to hear your opinions. If you have constructive critism please tell me, or usefull advice, but if your goal is to make fun of me, call me a moron, or the like please leave now.

I am a junior, i am interested in math and science, and am considering Engineering. I am president of our prestigious local FBLA chapter. I am in NHS. Am taking 6 college or AP courses for an current GPA (this year only) of 4.75. throughout highschool i have maintained straight A's and have taken the toughest course load available. i just recieved my ACT score report. i got a 34 in science, 34 in reading, 32 in math, and a 24 in english for a combined score of 31. I am treasuer of a local church group, am active in the school and community, and have placed 1st on acamedic teams, and recently placed first in critical thinking at a fairly-prestigous competiton, well known throughout the state. I have also recieved an award and schloarship to a regionally respected engineering school. i have played football, and am going to play golf next year. i am not an accomplished athelete but i am 6'5 240 lbs and lift weights regularly and have a good build (i don't know if this has anything to do with admissions but i think it could make me appear well rounded during interviews.) i am white and hopefully can play on the fact that i come from a family farm with parents who did not recieve college degrees. I plan to do hurricane relief this summer, and retake the ACT's in hopes of improving my english scores. Many of my teachers like me so my letters of recomindation will be good. I am good at public speaking and interviews, am respected in the community, and am presentable. I am planning on applying to a couple IVY league colleges and am wondering as to what your opinions are on my chances of acceptance and chances of recieving large independant schloarships. I am also interested on your opinions of what colleges i should look at, and any usefull advice on what i should do between now and college and schloarship admissions. Thank you for your time.
