<p>Although the SPOP websites says you do, you actually do not. I've done full SPOP and I was only told what to register for and how to register. You will be assigned a window as soon as you are able to log into WebReg (google UCI webreg).</p>
<p>Maybe it's different this year because at Explore UCI the academic counselors said we would register for classes with them during SPOP. They said the earlier you do SPOP the more amount of classes will be availabe in terms of times and teachers.</p>

<p>if we don't register during SPOP, then when DO we register?! i mean, that's the whole point of SPOP (in my opinion).
so it only makes sense that we register during SPOP, BEFORE the academic year actually starts.. right?</p>
<p>I think we can resolve this inconsistency by calling UCI directly. I'm driving home tomorrow so I won't be home until late to post. However, I'll call them and figure it out. My hallmate said the FAQ on the SPOP site said the same thing last year, and they did not change it. However, judging from my experiences here as a student and the way webreg works at UCI, I'm pretty sure you will NOT be registering during orientation.</p>
<p>I doubt you register during SPOP, each students get their own specific window to register for class. Freshmen window usually open around late august</p>
<p>Maybe registeration is during orientation this year since, if I recall correctly, this is the first year when orientation has been absolutley mandatory.</p>

<p>Then what is the Freshman Enrollment Window? I have it on September 7. Which one do we actually do enrollment?</p>

<p>I'm registered for orientation for mid-August... if we're enrolling in classes at that time.. then people who signed up for orientation in July have an unfair advantage!! </p>

<p>I guess UCI has flip flopped on the registration deal. It is still ambiguous, but just deal with it. It's only the first quarter. For the most part, you'll get into the core classes you need.</p>
<p>Just got back from SPOP and we did register for classes this weekend.</p>
